Making Alevi Issues Visible, 2017-2019

The Project, which was supported by the Netherland Consulate Matra program, aimed to make Alevi organizations express themselves, their demands to be heard by the society and other stakeholders, to be visible to other CSOs and to improve their advocacy and communication skills in this field. In this context, visibility, communication and journalism workshops were organized by meeting with Alevi organizations in Istanbul and Tunceli. The workshops aimed to increase the advocacy skills and impact capacities of these organizations.

A team of journalists was created to simultaneously transform Alevi issues into more readable news content. The news made by journalists were published on Civil Pages to expand the issues. In addition, a workshop was held with Alevi opinion leaders, where the “visibility of Alevi issues” was discussed for the first time.
