Within the scope of the Pluralism in Education and Freedom of Belief research project conducted by the Center for Public Policy and Democracy Studies (PODEM), it was aimed to create an up-to-date resource on the demands of parents from different sections and belief groups on the issues of pluralism and freedom of belief in the education system and to raise awareness on the relationship between these demands and human rights law. Interviews with parents of children from different social backgrounds in secondary education aimed to illustrate the expectations of parents from religious lessons and their criticisms of religious lessons and their approach to the discussions on this subject in the social field. The findings of the research were published by PODEM together with other studies within the scope of the project.
