This research was conducted by aiming to provide input for plans to seek private partnerships in Turkey for UN Women. The analysis carried out within the scope of this research was based on interviews with leading stakeholders in the field of women’s economic empowerment. In addition to the interviews, a general background was provided for analyzing stakeholders’ approaches. A third source was the discussions from the “Companies and UN Women Unit Cooperation Workshop” held in Istanbul on 24 May.
A total of 35 semi-structured interviews were held with international organizations, unions, academia, government agencies, political parties, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and private sector representatives. The organizations and individuals included in the research were determined to reflect various views and relationships.
